Course Outcome

These two units give both the competencies required to: Control traffic on public roads and construction sites and to be able to implement a Traffic Management Plan.
On successful completion of the course, learners will be issued with Statements of Attainment for Units of Competency: Control traffic with a Stop/Slow Bat and Implement traffic management plan.

Course Overview

The object of this course is to provide you with an understanding of how to :

  • Plan & prepare to implement traffic management plan
  • Set out the traffic guidance scheme
  • Control & monitor traffic guidance scheme
  • Operate communication devices
  • Close down traffic scheme & clean up on completion of work

Duration

The course is conducted over 12 hours and includes theory and practical. The theoretical components will be conducted in the classroom face-to-face and the practical elements will be demonstrated, practised and assessed in a simulated environment or approved workplace location.

Training Location

Training can be conducted at one of our training centres or on your premises provided certain requirements are met.

Learners must undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment to assist in determining suitability.

Birth Certificate, Drivers Licence or Passport must be presented as evidence of ID.
