Course Outcome
On successful completion of this course, applicants will be issued with nationally recognised Statements of Attainment for the above units of competency.
Course Overview
This course is designed to provide learners with the required skills and knowledge relating to all aspects associated with the operation of a tractor. Participants will be able to demonstrate safe and effective skills required to operate this type of machine in a safe and confident manner.
You will learn about:
- planning & preparation
- conducting pre-start checks
- machine operation
- attaching, usage and removal of attachments
- transportation of the machine between sites
- storage & securing of the machine on completion of work
- post operational checks and routine housekeeping
Duration
The course is conducted between 1 – 3 days and will depend on the level of operational experience held by the learner. It includes theory and practical elements, the theoretical components will be conducted face-to-face in the classroom and all practical elements will be demonstrated, practised and assessed in a simulated environment or approved workplace location.
Location
Training can be conducted at our Laverton training centre or at your premises providing it meets certain criteria.
Entry Requirements
Learners must undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment to assist in determining suitability.
Birth Certificate, Drivers Licence or Passport must be presented as evidence of ID.
